Brandon and Sydney are just a delight! Right away you can pick up on how kind, fun and sweet these two are. It was so easy to photograph them and I can't wait to capture more amazing memories on their wedding day!! Brandon and Sydney met through mutual friends beginning of 2015 and started dating in the Summer of 2015.
On January 4th, 2018, Brandon proposed to Sydney in New Jersey while on a family vacation. Read on to find out from Brandon how he proposed aside from the unexpected blizzard like conditions!...
"Our proposal story is definitely one that we will never forget and will go down as one of the craziest days of our lives. I planned to pop the question while on vacation visiting family in New Jersey. I had it all planned out. We would go into New York City, Syd’s favorite place, and I would do it under the Brooklyn Bridge in the snow with the city skyline in the background. I had also planned to fly Syd’s parents up to surprise her; and them along with my family would be hiding out watching me ask the big question. But…plans don’t always work out the way you want them to.
Fast forward to the big day. Syd’s parents had flown up and were staying with my aunt and uncle. Syd and I, along with my parents, would venture into the city, spend some time in Manhattan, until making our way into Brooklyn. Syd's parents and some of my other relatives would be there waiting for the big moment. But, it was January, up north, and this storm called “the bomb cyclone” was bearing down on us. After two hours of driving in blizzard-like conditions we had only made it to Jersey City and decided we weren’t going to make it to the Big Apple. My plan was dead and I had to think of something quick as we made our way back to my grandma’s house.
After some time at my grandmas and some much needed rum, I decided we would go to my aunt’s house about 20 minutes away up in the mountains and I would do it there. The plan was made and Syd's parents would be there waiting and hiding. After another stressful drive through the snow we finally made it to my aunts. The anticipation was killing me and the nerves were kicking in. My dad said he wanted to take some pictures of us in the snow. It was time. As my dad began taking pictures I got down on my knee and pulled the ring out. Syd began to cry and after what felt like forever, she said yes. Her parents came out of hiding and added to the surprise. It might not have happened the way I wanted it to but it was perfect."
