First off, you may be wondering what the heck does "UNPLUGGED" mean? An unplugged ceremony means guests are encouraged to shut off their cell phones, tablets, etc tech devices during your wedding ceremony. BUT WHY is this so important to instill now???... 1. When you look back on your wedding memories, you'll want to remember your guests engaged with your ceremony and attentively paying attention to YOU at the alter and not their device. 2. You're investing in professional wedding photography. No one wants plethora of photos from their professional photographer showing guests photobombing! Sorry Uncle Bob, I know you are the camera guy in the family, but you weren't paid to photograph your niece's wedding...that means you sit your booty down and let the professionals handle everything. :) Keep in mind it's totally an appropriate time to lift this unplugged rule for cocktail hour and reception when the party is getting LIT, haha. Encourage your guests to party and take as much photos as they like after ceremony! Asking your wedding officiant or DJ to make an announcement of the rule and listing it on the wedding invitation will help remind your loved ones to essentially behave. ;) Happy wedding planning! xo Warmly, Erika Grace |Erika Grace Photography ^^Emily and her hubby, Austin kissing as husband and wife! Can you imagine if a wedding guest stepped in front my camera and interfered with capturing this moment?! Yikes!
