"For my birthday Kyle and I agreed we wanted a day just the two of us to go on a hike together while on vacation in Alaska. Originally we planned the day to be the day after my birthday, but due to weather Kyle insisted we wait a few more days. He suprised me with the location of Portage Pass which was about an hour out of Anchorage. The route we took is one of the most scenic drives in Alaska and included a trip through the longest one-way tunnel in North America.
Kyle told me we would stop and get breakfast in Whittier before the hike, however upon arriving at the trail Kyle told me he brought breakfast for us to eat when we reached the top of the pass. I was a little confused as to why he didn't tell me this from the start, but we blazed the trail regardless.
When we finally reached the top and stopped to take it all in, I spotted a bench I thought would be perfectly fine to eat on. But Kyle thought otherwise. We searched for a flat spot to set up the blanket with a glacier view. Upon getting settled, Kyle surprised me with my favorite breakfast items blueberry muffins and a blackberry scone. He then asked if I wanted my birthday present and told me to close my eyes. I could hear him tinkering with something in his backpack and I had to tell myself to keep my eyes shut. After what seemed like years Kyle told me to open my hands and placed a piping hot cup of coffee in them. I opened my eyes to a personalized coffee mug made just for me. Kyle went on to tell me he brought my favorite brew of Trilogy Coffee all the way to Alaska. I began to drink my coffee and quickly saw a message on the inside of the mug, I took a few sips and read "I have a question for you...". I drew a few deeps breaths and looked at Kyle in disbelief. I gulped down the rest of my coffee to see what was at the bottom.
Then Kyle dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was so shocked! I could not contain myself or even form an audible answer from choking back laughter and tears. Of course I said yes. After Kyle placed the ring on my finger he pointed out the photographer who had been capturing the whole thing. "
Special thanks to these professionals who helped make their EPIC proposal a reality!!! :
