Here's Brandon and Madison! Brandon proposed to Madison this past June in front of a waterfall in the Grand Canyon! They enjoy traveling and what better way to pop the question than on one of their epic adventures?! Read on to see how everything took place!! "Every year my family and I, including Brandon obviously, take a trip to celebrate my dad's birthday (June 25) and my birthday (June 26). Every trip is typically some kind of epic adventure with things like rafting, hiking, last year was even sky-diving and a hot air ballon ride through canyons. But THIS YEAR was my big 2-1, so we were going to Las Vegas! Before heading to the flashing lights of the city that never sleeps, we had an awesome rafting trip on the agenda through the Grand Canyon that stops for a quick hike up to a waterfall inside the canyon. After a short but somewhat treacherous hike to get to the waterfall, I then got in the line to take a picture- because duh, why wouldn't Brandon, my family and I take a picture in front of this beautiful waterfall?? So, while I am waiting in line, getting closer to my turn, Brandon and my dad are literally nowhere to be found and I was getting super irritated. Brandon finally showed his face and I demanded he hurry the heck up so we could take this picture and let other people have a turn too! But he gave me the "one second" finger. I am not a very patient person, and I especially hated the thought that this entire group of people on the rafting trip with us had to wait since Brandon wanted to take forever doing God knows what. Well, now I know what the hold up was. Multiple cameras and a cell phone had to be ready for this "picture" that we were taking in front of the waterfall. As I stood there facing the camera with my hand on my hip (my go-to pose) Brandon kept grabbing me and turning me towards him asking me to look at him. Confused, I finally gave in. He told me he loved me, and I said "I love you too....?" (hello, we're trying to take a picture, why is he being sentimental?) He then proceeded to tell me he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. Out comes this square box, and the next thing I know he's down on one knee asking me to marry him. Through my sobs I managed to squeal out "OH MY GOD" and "YES" followed by "I'm sorry for being so mean telling you to hurry I had no idea I'm so sorry!" I will forever laugh at how snappy I was being just a few moments prior when the poor guy was just trying to find the ring! How was I supposed to know!?!?! What a total, wonderful surprise. Following the rafting trip we were flown via helicopter up to the top of the canyon, where I got to sit there in awe of the beauty surrounding me while still feeling on top of the world. I kept glancing at my ring and then out at the incredible view wondering how I got so lucky. After a very long day full of emotion we drove to Las Vegas and celebrated my engagement with my first legal drink. It was a wonderful vacation that I will never forget, and I am so glad that my dad was there to witness that special moment- I even caught him tearing up a bit. The Grand Canyon will always hold a special place in my heart!"-Madison Proposal photos captured by Madison's family friend, Jan. Thank you for sharing!
