TJ and Jillian are such a sweet couple and I'm excited to share their engagement session and proposal story! When I asked Jillian what kind of location style they would prefer for their engagement photos she mentioned Baldwin Park. TJ lived in the quiet neighborhood when they first started dating and they made a lot of memories there. It was a perfect choice. Read on to hear about their proposal story in Blue Ridge, Georgia. and more from their engagement session. :)
"The first big trip TJ and I took as a couple was to Blue Ridge, GA-so this in and of itself made it a special place to us. We both loved the beautiful mountains, the tranquility, and being able to relax in a quaint little cabin in what seemed like the middle of nowhere. Fast forward 2 years, and we had planned another trip to Blue Ridge for a much needed mini vacation. Little did I know that TJ had been planning something extra special for this trip!
Our cabin was situated, nearly precariously it seemed, right on the edge of a mountain. This made for some spectacular views! The whole back wall was sliding glass doors leading out to a deck. On our second day there as we prepared to go hiking at a nearby waterfall, I wanted to take a picture from the balcony of the second floor of the gorgeous view. I noticed TJ had been standing in front of the sliding glass doors for a really long time. Not realizing he had a ring in his pocket and was nervously rehearsing what he was about to ask me, I actually asked if he could move so I could take a picture of the view!! Once I joined him downstairs, and we stared outside together, he proceeded to get down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was shocked and elated and through tears said yes! It was perfect, and we wouldn’t change a thing. Even the part about asking him to move right before he popped the question-it makes us laugh every time!"
